Default Dash Trim Removal

The 850 I bought has black dash trim, whereas the old one has fake wood which to me looks much nicer so I want to switch them around. What is involved in taking this trim off?

I've heard the wood trim has some really strong glue attaching it. You might try a heat gun to soften it up a bit, just don't leave it in one spot too long. Another problem that could come up is the left behind glue residue if you manage to get the trim off.
Good luck and let us know how it works out

I didn't realize that it was glued on, maybe it would be easier to buy a trim kit off ebay? What about taking the trim off completely, couldn't I unscrew it and put the wood trim on the new car and put the black trim from the new car on the old car? Or is that a lot of work?

It would be alot easier to buy the kit from E-bay.
To get it in the new car you would have to swap the entire dash and console.
