ECC Flap motors
Howdy,
95 850 GLT Wagon
I took apart all the flap motors to clean them of grease. I put them back and everything was working for a few months. Now only rec is working and all air is blowing from the dash vents. I pulled the code but don't remember them but one of them was shorted to 12v. I also swapped out the ECC unit to a know working spare I had with the same result.
Thanks,
Mark

2-3-1 ................ Ventilation Damper Motor Position Sensor
Circuit Open Or Shorted To Power
and
4-1-4 ............ Driver’s Side Temp. Sensor Intake Fan Seized
I can' t clear the codes. I was able to get to test mode 4 but 1-1-1 did not trigger the relay even though it is working and 9-9-9 does not set the limits.

Update
Ok I had the vent motor of a tooth which caused it to bind. I have fixed it cleared the codes and ran the mode 4 9-9-9 and everything is working, but...
The rec motor is very slow when the fan switch is in the aut position. When it in on a manual fan speed it will operate open and close fully and at a normal speed. The flap and arm are free. When the fan switch is in the aut position it moves stops, moves, stops, moves... until it opens or closes fully. Can anyone explain why this operates differently?
Thanks
I really need help with this.
