on the back of my 1996 sedan it has on the top of the trunk above the tail-light the 850 logo then down below under the tail-light is the turbo logo does this mean anything?

Nope. That's just the way they came. I think the R went with the 850 though, not sure on that though.

Yep, this means you have a VIN57 engine (which is a very good thing)!!!
