1994 Turbo 850 Wagon with Thule Ski Box on Top.
21.5 on the way to the mountain. My father in law drove it back and he got 24.6. I think it was the change in elevation.
Can't wait to get the box off this spring and see how much it increases.

You folks are doing way better than me...I'm lucky to get 17mpg. My driving is almost all city and most of my commutes are between 2 and 3 miles.

For the last two years the digital display in the dashboard shows the average MPG is either 18 or 19 MPG. I use only 93 octane gas. I live in a small town in rural North Carolina and 95 per cent of my trips are short trips - less than 6 miles. My Volvo 850 GLT has over 240,000 miles on it.

It's from a Volvo dealer and has been maintained there it's whole life.

They have done $2,500 worth of maintence when the car was traded in.

1. 27 car point check
2. A/C Service (Evacuate, Leak-Test)
3. State Inspection
4. Oil and Filter change
5. Engine Timing Belt / Replace
6. Cam Seals Replace
7. Engine Breather Box replace
8. Engine mount - torque replace
9. oil cooler hose replace
10. headlight wiper stops replace
11. bulb turn signal replace
12. Window switch electonic replace
13. replace tow hook cover
14. Brake pads rear replace
15. Brake roters rear replace
16. replace air dam
17. hood latch replace

I hope this lasts for at least 250,000 miles
