Default exhaust is WAY too loud! need help with resonator!

ok, so it turns out my 850 NA has a stock exhaust diameter of 1.75", so I had the exhaust guy pump it up to 2.25" and take out the pancake muffler and put a straight through muffler in there. After he did that, I was content for a while, but then when I went on the freeway, OMG, the drone was KILLING ME! So I went back and he put in a resonator in the back by the tail pipe area, and this dampened a lot of the noise, but it's still way too loud on my ears and the inside of the car is still very loud, and there's still a little bit of drone going on. So, with that said, I still have one long section of piping from the cat to where the straight through muffler (where the pancake muffler used to be) where I could potentially put in yet another resonator haha.

So, my question is, what should I do to quiet this down? I want it to be mostly quiet (not stock quiet though) with very little to no drone inside the car, but loud when at WOT. Is there a certain brand of resonator you can recommend that is known to quiet a system down?....a lot? haha thanks

Instead of changing the exhaust, I'd consider looking into adding sound deadening material to the interior. Dynamat under the carpet would be a good way to start there.

If you start adding resonators, you will defeat the purpose of the better flow exhaust.
