Expect the Unexpected and brakes

Expect the Unexpected and brakes
Well my non fitting parking brake shoe is/was diagnosed, after I might add fruitless attempts to fit it, removal of center console etc....
And what was this complex reason you ask, well, I'll tell you, the parts store had supplied shoes for a AWD volvo, not a FWD volvo.... Nice!! Anyway, now fitted and rear rotors replaced, mostly because they were extremely worn but also because, someone presumably trying to fix the rear brakes before, had cut a huge chunk out of the side of the hub on the rear rotor, and I mean huge, like the size of a brake pad!!! <----- Anyone heard of that before?
Well, brakes done, inspection passed with the best emissions I have ever seen on any vehicle I've taken through the MA inspection, and that just leaves;
Do the black trim with Forever Black - Go away rain!!
Fit the XM radio back in to this car
Investigate central locking at drivers door, it works from tailgate and passenger, but not from drivers.
Have a wonderful evening all, yet again I find myself very grateful to this whole forum and TECH in particular.
Thanks!!

RE: Expect the Unexpected and brakes
Without your input Tech..................we would all be lost!!! How is your Mustang project going? Have you seen the light of day and are going to switch to a BMW?? They can out accelerate a Mustang and beat them on the track..................but they, admittedly do not have that Mustang sound. There is a young guy in my neighborhood who has a........I am presuming......new Mustang that is yellow and has a rear window shade on it that sounds absolutely fantastic!!!

RE: Expect the Unexpected and brakes
The Mustang is not going good at the moment. Parts from the Clutch system broke when I was driving it.Now it is sitting. Then money is still really short here. It will only take about $80.00 to get it going again. But there is more Important things at the moment. So again it just sits in the driveway.
As for the BMW NEVER That will cost 3 times the money to repair than the MUSTANG.
I can easily make the mustang faster than the BMW.
If I drop 2 grand into the car I can make it very fast. Talking into like the 11 second 1/4 miles times.
The BMW would take like 5 grand to do the same.
The wife has always wanted a 325I but we will never see that. Then money just isn't spare enough in this house.
UNLESS I play the lottery and SOMETIME win it!!!!!
Thanks for all the comopliments!!!

With your positive attitude Tech you will see your bride's 325i and you will probably end up owning your own shop. Good to see that you have your priorities in order..............there will be the day that the Mustang is finished and blowing cold air in warm Florida!
