Default Exterior door trim/molding replacement

Hi
I am in need of replacement door molding for my drivers door. I have searched around the net but no one seems to sell replacement peices. I thought someone here would probably know where I could pick one up and what kind of clips I would need. I have a 97 850. I also was wondering if there is some sort of guide to changing the trim I was unable to find that either...

Thanks

Thanks for the link but it looks like they only sell the trim that goes on the fenders, I need a the peice for my drivers door. I've been searching but still have not found a site that sells them.

The door mouldings are hard to find. The dealer wants over $100 a piece for the door moulding[8D]. Junk yard would be the best if you can find one.

The moulding is held in place with some (5~6?) plastic clips & one Torx screw & washer. If you can find a junked 850, you should be able to get them all. The new moulding should come with the screw and maybe the plastic clips as well. Ask a local dealer to see if they can show you the part so you would know what are needed for installation. BTW, the moulding is made in Switzerland[&:].

Thanks for the info... I'll check the local junkyards and see if they have anything laying around.

I looked on ebay and found one for a 93-07 850 wagon do you know if they are the same?

Ditto to what JPN said. If that doesn't work, one other place you could try in erievovo.com (yes it is spelled right <grin&gt

Check all the Volvo forums people are parting out cars all the time with affordable prices.
Good-luck.

How does the front piece on the wing come off? Is there a retaining screw on this one too?

Default 96 & 97 850t

Sorry guy's. I am new here.

Can anyone tell me if the front fenders and bumpers are interchangeable from a 96 850 to a 97 850?

They should be, yes. They changed the front end for the phase 1 v70's, but as far as I know, all 850's from late 94 onwards use roughly the same fenders.

Default Door trim catching

On my 94 NA wagon the drivers side door trim catches on my fender and dents my fender. I've had to replace my door trim several times now because of this issue and the other day it caught and popped the fender trim off. I take a small hammer and pry the fender back out but this time the hammer dented the door. I've tried adjusting the fender bolts which helped a little but it still catches. This happens on some of my other doors as well and it is really annoying me now. Any tips to help stop it from catching so I don't have to worry when I open my doors?
