I was wondering if anybody had any information referring to the rear spoiler on the sedans. I have a 96' 850 N/A Sedan without the wing and I'm wondering if it gives any handling/drag improvement or if it's just aesthetic.

I don't see how much air would ever hit it on a Sedan. On a fastback car, modest size wings would make some difference at about 100 mph and above. The volvo factory spoiler didn't have any pitch to it either.

Did anybody ever race 850's in any racing series? You got me wondering.

 

The wagons were massively successful in the BTCC and later on (after rear wing regulations changes) the sedans were fairly successful as well. I was also wondering about the effect on drag. Cant find a drag coefficient for it with wing vs without.
