Default Faulty Backup Light

I have a 1993 Volvo 850 GLT with an automatic transmission. I have a Haynes manual that mentions a backup light switch for manual transmission equipped cars, but no mention of such a switch for automatic equipped 850s. Is there a switch for automatic equipped cars, and if so, where?

Thanks.

John

It is part of the PNP switch. (Park Neutral Position Sensor)

Where can I find this PNP switch? Checked my Haynes manual and couldn't find anything on this.

Thanks.

Find where the Cable attaches to the top of the transmission.

The sensor with the wire coming out is the PNP switch.
