Default Fender rolling time

Yep....gonna have to roll the fenders on my car. Since I got the new springs on, in combinsation with the 225/45/17 tires, I'm definitely rubbing. Love the look though.

Anyone have one? anyone done it? Anything I need to be careful of?

I hear that its very important to go very slow so the paint doesnt flake off. although it still may, your chances are less if you do a little bit (very slowly) wait a day or 2, then repeat.

What part rubs with those tires? I've got a set of Volans and I'm presently shopping for tires.
Thanks in advance.

The most important part is HEAT..
Use a heat gun to keep the paint flexible and it wont flake or crack..
But be careful to much heat and you could blister the clear..

Here is the fender roller I bought, It has since grew legs and walked away but its awesome, it makes the job sooooooo easy.

Twiin: running a 225/45/17. I rub when i hit bumps (the outer edge of the tire hits the fender inner liner and metal fender) and rub the inside edges a little bit when i turn. I think 5 mm spacers will fix that, but not until the fenders are rolled.

MadMtt: Running H&R springs. drop is supposed to be about 1.6"

Do you have spacers on there, too?

Anyone who is at stock offsets with lowering springs doesn't need to roll their fenders.

Like Matt said, tons of heat and take your time. I did it on both my fronts and rears.

I rub like mad on the rear when I have passengers back there. No spacers in the front at all but i still scrub whenever I hit a bump, gilber. I suspect it has more to do with the width tire im running than offset. If I wasnt running the 15mm offset in the rear, I think the tire would be hitting the inner fender pretty bad.

Also, I scrub the front pretty bad when I turn the wheel all the way to lock. I think a 5 mm spacer in the front would go a long way towards fixing that, once i rolled the fenders.

Yeah when these wear out I'll be getting either 215/40 or 205/45
