Give me a quick breakdown of engine types
Specifically 1995 through 1997 Turbo models...
1995 T-5 was the 1st for 850 turbo models correct? Other than ECU tweaks and Turbo control valve setups they are the same through 1997 correct?
GLT models only came out when?
1997 GLT models came with a light pressure turbo's option correct? Are all GLT for this year LP turbo's?
1995-1997 all the T-5 models HP/Torque numbers are the same correct? Was any particular model faster/more stout than others? Any know problems that were corrected with the next year model?
850 T-5 and GLT models ever come with a 5 speed from the factory in the USA (other than the T5-R and R models).
Maybe this should be in the S70 section:
1998-1999 S70 models were they all LP turbo models only when they were GLT. How about SE models and AWD models?
2000 S70 models did the base engine become the 2.4 liter?
Low pressure turbo was the 2.4 liter GLT correct? Why would you not want the larger 2.4 liter motor and do an ECU upgrade for more torque over the smaller 2.3 liter? Were the LP turbo models not as reliable as the 2.3 liter?
Finally do the Non-turbo models have the Mass air and Throttle body coming in on the front of the motor (intake side)? Or was the LP turbo models set up the same way for these models?
What I am trying to determine is if I can find an S70 5 speed GLT and do an ECU upgrade to get me to the HP level I am trying to achieve. I have found a few 5 speeds S70 models but they all seem to be base models non-turbo. The T-5 Models that are 5 speeds are still selling for $5,000+!!
