Wow! That's the cost of a car. Why did you have to have an engine rebuild.

Yeah Man!! that's it. They are worth what they are to us and once you've put all the work and parts in, you have car that drives and feels brand new. Don't give up on her, Pearl, Christine, hey just what is her name ?

Case in point ... Just imagine if everyone who owned those old Mustangs, Camaros, Vettes just about all of them said well it's just not worth the expense??? Well maybe we'll be the guys who ring the cash register on the old well cared for Volvos

Great news and can't wait to see the vid. why did the CPS get distroyed??? There must be a cause and effect relationship going on.

for some reason i dont think i installed the metal sensor plate correctly in the set up - my fault - i was trying to rush things and i knew better- the only other think it could have been was that the original sensor was falling apart anyway but it didnt notice anything wrong with it -- any way its done and gone
i asked my mom to do the video but she insists im going to crash and die - i told her to shut up and just do the video lol- hell if i die ill go out doing something i love

The cam sensor plugs ALWAYS fall apart. At the moment I have no plug and just wires going into the plug on Yellow!

Where is this sensor? I never knew of such a thing until last November when it went out in the Jeep I sold (as soon as I got it fixed). On the Jeep, I could not reach it to replace it.

Then last week my brother-in-law could not get The Blue Beast (like a '90 Corsica) started. It was sitting at his job like my Jeep was so I told him to try his CPS and that was the problem. WTH (What the heck).

The sensor bolts to the back of the head on the exhaust camshaft.

It's best to check for spark & fuel before you assume it's the CPS.

Most people's 850's are starting just fine. It's just that there are still a lot of them on the road and they are getting pretty old. LOL

I was thinking, if someone finds this site before they get a 850, they would RUN because of all the post on here.

the cam position sensor could and may well be the cause of a not spark i had that problem with mine its located on the right rear of the engine as you look at the car on the end of the exhaust cam - its aluminium with a black plastic cover on it - 2 bolts hold it in and the lower bolt also holds the vacuum line bracket for the turbo and ptc lines remove carefully and inspect for damage - test it if you know how with ohm meter - i didnt have to test mine it was totally destroyed
