Import Replacement Parts | Import Performance & OEM Parts

So I ordered a gauge (autometer 4370 wideband) from a place called Import Replacement Parts back in January. They said that Autometer had told them that the part would ship within a week. A week goes by and they still dont have it. Jeff at IRP mailed me and let me know about the delay, and told me to check back with them. A week later, I did, and they said it was now going to be another week or two. No problem from me, since he's at least trying. Two weeks later, Autometer says it's going to be the end of March before the part ships. I contacted them today and they still hadnt heard anything. I asked Jeff if he could ask Autometer if they could substitute the digital wideband (which is quite a bit more expensive) for the same price, since I have waited so long for it. Jeff got back to me and said that if Autometer wouldnt, he would just so that I could get taken care of.

Even though I have waited for over 2 months for this gauge, I have NOTHING but good things to say about Jeff and Import Replacement Parts. Every time I mailed him, he got back to me within 10 minutes and communication was excellent.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, they were more than happy to price match for me off of another website. They'll definitely be the first place I go to get parts online from now on.

Tech: glad to pass it along. if you call and order from them, ask for jeff. GREAT guy to deal with. This is one of those few companies that really gets it when it comes to business and taking care of a customer.

Thanks Ibified. The day you posted I went and put an order in. Free shipping is nice too. Company is out in Monroe, WA, but order is being shipped from Harrisburg, PA. I should get that today.

One thing I found annoying is that for some items, they had no price, but had the option of inquiring, which I did, but I think the webmaster screwed up with the Inquiry web form.

Even if it did, having to fill out a form to get the price, small, maybe $30-50 parts -- that's not good.

You waited a month for a wideband? I'm glad you got taken care of and everything, but if it were me, I would have gone to one of the other numerous places that sells widebands and gotten it right away.

FCP is still taking the lionshare of my business, but I ain't going monopolistic. Besides, there were some parts that IRP had them, but FCP did not. For example Hepu water pumps.

Gilber: the wideband I ordered was the 4370. it's a new product from autometer and evidently they are having some issues with getting them built.

Matt: i checked jegs and summit racing, and it says it ships in 6 days both places. However, when I called them, they said it was wrong and that they didnt have a ship date. Summit racing was going to ship me that part in 6 days back in december too, they never did and never contacted me. I had to contact them for them to tell me that they didnt know WEHEN it was going to ship. Guess business is good at summit, because they never even offered to call autometer for me to see when it WOULD ship.

If you have something that it is Summit's or whoever bread and butter, you will get service. Volvo guy asking Summit ? -- way down on the priority list....
