Default hallman mbc & wastegate adjustment...

hey guys, after a few days' research i've decided to get a Hallman Pro RX Manual Boost Controller and sunpro boost and afr gauges. My question is, when I got the car back in june, the first thing I did was tighten the wastegate 1.5-1.75 turns. after I install the mbc, should I loosen the wastegate -1.5-1.75 turns or can I leave it as it is currently (tightened 1.5-1.75 turns)?

I would loosen it back up. Having it tighter will cause boost spikes.

After even more research, I think it'll be more reliable to get an R ECU than to go the MBC route. I'm only planning on 13psi using the MBC but i'll take 12psi reliably with the R ECU, a tune is not in the question right now and with my slight OCD everytime I give my car a little bit of throttle, i'd expect to hear BOOM with an MBC no matter how good they claim it is.

Although an MBC brings power on more hardcore than an ECU, ultimately i'll feel better with a steady, reliable, 240hp as opposed to the "252hp" @ 13psi, 10hp per psi, or so and I like to feel low end torque with throttle squeeze as opposed to outright foot to the floor so I think i've answered my own questions and have made my decision. I won't even bother with a boost and afr gauge, the ECU takes care of all that. Please chime in if you have anything to add guys. I'll keep my wastegate tightened as it is currently.

Thanks for reading! Happy New Year!

Good luck with that. Your plan is good.

For other readers:
I am running a Garrett wastegate actuator with a Hallman MBC. The wastegate actuator is adjusted to factory specs.
