Info switch mileage tracking
hello...this is my first post so be kind!
I have been using the trip tracking function on the info switch to track my oil change intervals, since my regular odometer stopped turning!
without the battery being disconnected or dead, my tracking failed and it reset itself.
the question is: was that because it reached a magical figure? ( last I remember seeing 3100 miles). Or was this accidental ?

what year/model? If you have an 850, the main odometer stopped working because it needs a new gear - IDP and FCP Euro sell replacements and instructions are online. Only special tool is a #8 torx for opening the cluster. When you are referring to the info switch are you referring to the LCD display? those are sensitive to power hits so either you had a voltage drop out or you accidentally reset. There is no magic number that I've heard of.
