injector differences??

Default injector differences??

just a quick question-- are white injectors any good - i managed to purloin a set of 5 form a v70 question is ---- can i use them on my 850 turbo without doing ecu, or should i wait until ecu is done( whats the diff in the stock red or orange and white) ??

From what i understand.... This is from Lucky "In order of flow from smallest to largest; whites, oranges, blues, greens"

Which Im not sure of are the orange tops the same flow as oranges?

Yes, you need a tune to take any benefits of a larger injector.

So are the orange tops (stock)the same as the "oranges"?

Yes, "oranges" are orange top injectors. All the colors refer to the color of the top of the injector as most have black bodies. The ones I'm not sure about are the ones where they are all one color. I just ran across all white injectors and I'm taking it for granted it's what they were referring to when they talk about white.

This is the way I have them listed as far as "size" at a given PSI.

315cc/30lb orange top / high imped

350cc / 33lb white

395cc / 37lb blue

468cc / 44lb green

You should be able to drop the whites in without any problem but they most likely won't do anything (good or bad). If or when you do put them in I'd recommend getting new O rings at the top and bottom of each. The computer can and will adjust the "on" time of the injector to correct for the proper fuel quantity. The problems come in if you raise the pressure or go even bigger on the injectors as you'll get to the point that the computer can't adjust down enough as the engine isn't demanding enough fuel to run a larger injector or pressure in relation to the motors needs.
