Default it's freezing and stuff is sticking!

Hey!
So on the way to work the other morning I warmed the car up and started down the driveway, took my foot off the accelerator and the car kept accelerating. Iput it in neutral and and flipped the accelerator back up with my toe to slow down. It did the same thing again and after a few minutes things loosened up a bit and it was fine.

This morning, however, The car wouldn't shift out of first and driving 15mph down my long (flat) driveway again wasusing 21/2 RPMs. Heading up a hill to get my carpool buddy still going about 15mph I was running 3 RPMs. I let it sit in park for a while longer and it also loosened after a couple minutes.

DoI have something wrong (besides needing a new thermostat) or is this just happening because it has been -10 to -20 degrees here lately even though I warm the car up for a good 10minutes before heading out? The brakes are giving me resistance and everything. I hate the stupid cold. [&:]

Thanks!
