Default Just bought

A TurboXS RFL BOV and a manual boost controller.

How do you guys have your BOV's hooked on?

And how to do the MBC?

I'm just waiting on finding a cheap boost gauge.

1. Egauges.com get a $50 AutoMeter boost gauge that can read 25 In Hg / 25 PSI.

2. A few options for your BOV...

A. Attach it to the Aluminum charge pipe that goes over the engine. Which is the upper intercooler pipe. You'll need an Aluminum flange to weld into place to put the BOV on. Once welded on put BOV on flange tighten down and run your vacuum line.

B. You can attach this to the turbo hose on the top of the radiator/intercooler area. It is a black hose and you have to cut it. Cut it in half width wise not length wise. Insert a T-adapter and clamp each side down. Place the BOV on top and tighten it down and run your vacuum line.

C. You could try putting this closest to the throttle body as well using the same two methods above just in a different location near the throttle body.

3. MBC, why? I know others use them and get decent results. But an ECU upgrade will benefit you more then a MBC will any day. Tech can help you with the MBC though.

The way tech was running his (that I remember):
unconnect the two hoses going to the TCV (the red and blue hoses), then just install the MBC between the Nipple on the turbo and the wastegate actuator. Leave the TCV connected so the CEL wont go off.

TIPSP: Do I just cut those two hoses and put the MBC in between with two clamps? I guess I'm still confused.

AS far as why I am running an MBC.

I can't really afford an ECU upgrade, and am not trying to make this car some 1/4 mile monster.

The MBC won't really waste more gas either, and the BOV is more or less for sound effects, but I got a slamming deal on it, so that's fine.

Which vac line do I hook to the BOV?

Remove the two hoses, by undoing the little clamps and pull them off. Once the two hoses are removed, I think you cap off the ports on the TCV unit. Then you can take a hose (probably a new hoses if the MBC came with one), and attach the MBC in the middle like this:

Note: this is mine, yours might look a little different, but it is basicly the same. Just mount it in a place that you can adjust it.

Tech can tell you better, for it is his car

Yes just unplug from the factory EBC and run the hoses to the MBC and call it done.

I mounted mine to the side of the upper mount(torque mount) bracket. Then just leave the EBC alone.

As for the BOV are you going to run the BOV and factory bypass valve?

Now that makes sense with the MBC.

I plan on using steel braided hoses for it.

Tech, I have no idea really how I am going to run it.

After mounting it, what should I hook the hoses from and to for the BOV?

If you are running it with the factory one I would t it into the hose for the factory one.

And the factory bypass is like between the turbo and the motor. If you look closely the plate for the OEM one looks kind of like a triangle.

I would t there so both items are getting the exact same response at the same time.

Should I be able to see that plate from under the car, o can I get to it up top?

Also, I have a two pillar pod now. What gauge should I put in the second one? I have boost already.

You can see if from the top.

You can go with a few different ones. I have a Volt guage and an air fuel (is only a light show) or oil temp or anything.

I suggest an wideband AF gague, or an exhaust temp gauage.

I couldn't find a cheap EGT locally, so I bought A SunPro Boost and AF.

Once I find an EGT that looks similar (my boost gauge has a gray ring, and the AFM is chrome but will be painted) I'll get the iPD A-pillar so I can have a three pot setup and run the boost, AFM, and EGT.

My friend says EGT over AF, but I would assume the opposite.

So, but in good news, I'm on my way to the car wash to wash teh 850 and I'll put some pics up.

I've done a lot since the pic that was in my sig.

I meant how to hook the entire thing up.

Additionally, I have a basic AFM from Auto Zone that says to hook it to your O2 sensor, but in between the plug and computer and not the sensor and its plug.

Its a green wire on the harness they supply.

Well, we didn't have time last night to finish the AFR.

BUT.

We have the boost gauge hooked up but it still isn't working.

We even tried the stock port on the vac tree and nothing happened.

Any ideas?

Additionally, everything seemed fine, but when I went to my friends house last night and then left about 20 minutes later, the CEL light came on

I'm really lost now.

On my car. There is a vacuum line that goes to the stock gauge. I just tapped into that line for the boost readings, though I dont know how the 850 is. And I spliced into the headlight switch for the wiring for the light.

As far as the CEL goes, the AF gauge might be causing it, since you said that it is not completely hooked up yet?

Did you get the boost guage working yet?
The AFR guage I made a harness from an old sensor and plug from a wiring harness in a car that plugged inline for mine.
