Default Leather Seat Cleaning, recommendations?

My leather seats are in good shape with no holes, rips or tears. I've been looking at Volvo sale brochures of the time era the pics show them with a deep rich color. Mine are supposed to be black but seem dry and dull. I use Mothers leather and vinyl cleaner which cleans them well but leaves them dry.

Looking to see what others use. The majority of Volvos have leather seats so I would imagine someone out there has refurbished them to look new.

Anyone use that Leather cream? Is it worth the money?

Would do you guys suggest?

I use neatsfoot oil. You can find it at horse supply places - its normally used on saddles, and it works GREAT.

I will use just about anything to clean them, however, condition them immediately after with something like mentioned above or Lexol. Anything that says "and vinyl" is NOT for leater.

Thanks Ibified, And RSPI. Couldn't find the oil on Sunday. Went to Walmart and got the Lexol. It works well

Thanks!

What about the suede in R seats? Every leather cleaner I've seen says 'not for use on suede'

I wish I had a turbo to respond properly!!! LOL

Though I would imagine it would be like top end household furniture. Suede is like dyed fabric but with a more permanent dye. A foam type upholstery cleaner sprayed onto a terry cloth towel then rubbing should clean them well. Spraying the cleaner directly onto the seat could leave a stain.
