Default made it through the road trip

I just drove from san francisco bay area upo to Seattle, WA, approx 798 miles each way.

Pushed 16 quarts of trans fluid through the tranny on a flushing machines and it shifts amazing compared to how it used to.

No problems except my rear main seal is leaking more then it was before.

And i got a ticket for doing 95 in a 65.... ouch. The turbo made me do it i swear =)

Also i am guessing there is some sort of daylight sensor which turns the headlights on and off? My headlights are always on now, i am guessing it the sensor on the dash where the "alarm" light is located as well.

Go 850 turbo!!!!!

^There is no daylight sensor that I know of, but you can turn your DRLS off.

On your light switch, there is a tiny screw. You want to twist it slightly and your DRLs should go off.

What year is the car and how many miles? The reason I ask is that we just moved from Fresno to the Aberdeen WA area and my 16 yr old drove his 95 850 Turbo following us in our 01 XC70. I did all the routine service on the 850 before the trip and it made the 900 mile trip without a hiccup and it has 177K on the clock. Car ran at 75+ all the way and used MAYBE a 1/2 pint of oil. Love these cars!

my speedometer stopped at 220,277 but the guy that owned it before me estimated it around 250,000. i just overfilled it a quart and checked the oil at every gas station and it stayed fine.

mine is a 1995 turbo as well.

My understanding is you should never overfill with oil. You are way better off being down a quart and running that way as opposed to having too much oil in the car. The car will burn the excess oil and can cause oil leaks. Not sure if this is true, but that's what I've heard.

i would rather have to much then to little, because turbo needs the oil, and you start running hot, then boom. plus i already have leaks, thats why i add the extra oil =)
