Default mass air flow sensor need help

Hi everyone I have a 96 850 4d sedan and I have a question on mass air flow sensor. I went to advance auto parts (they rock) and they came out an used a hand scanner on my car (it dies sometimes when I come to a stop and the check engine light is on it also revs up an down when I come to a stop not to high but it never did that before). I have owned it since new and it has never gave me a problem, I always have it serviced to help prevent problems like this. Well the scan gave a code on my mass air flow. It did not say meter or sensor though.
this is what is said verbatim.
P0103
MAF or VAF
Circuit High Input
If it is indeed the sensor, can it be serviced or cleaned to keep working or when they break they just break. Please if anyone can help me I would much appreciate it
Thanks this is a killer forum

You could try cleaning it but I doubt it will help.
Most of the time when they go they just go.

Make sure there is no Leaks in the Big hose between the Mass Flow sensor and the engine.

You also want to make sure the harness is secure. A poor connection will throw the code.
