Megasquirting a 850
I'm planning to MegaSquirt my 2.0 10V 850.
I understand there is an immobilizer on it. So if brake the seal and remove the OEM ECU, could I hook in between the ECU and the harness and have the ECU connected to enable the immobilizer - but tap in to all engine controls and have the MegaSquirt unit run the engine ?
Or - is all immoblizing within the ECU, so that when the MegaSquirt runs the engine - there won't be anything hindering the engine from running properly ? There's no remotely mounted unit that disables the fuel pump or anything ?
What would happen if I put the stock ECU back after taking it out ?
