Modifications
I have recently accuired a 1997 850 GLT Turbo and i am still trying to work out some mechanical problems but after that is taken care of i would like to put in some performance modifications. I am 17 and have about 700 to blow on parts and i dont know what would be best i have been looking a blow off valves and chip modifications but i have no idea what will give the most increase in speed. If anyone could give me some advice on anything that i can do to make my car faster that would be awesome, thanks.

RE: Modifications
I would say go for either a computer or shocks and springs. If you get suspension and get lowering springs, make sure you get a shock designed for a lower spring height. I have the eibach pro springs and Bilstein HD shocks, which are performance shocks made for factory height. The car rides excellent until you hit a bump in the road. Then you are already in the damper and it will hit hard. If I swapped these out for a shorter shock it would ride better, but it's not bad enough for me to switch now. I also have the IPD computer which is very nice!!

IMHO, Mufflers that sound best with turbocharged engines...

The Flo-Pro muffler has proven itself to beat the competition with a louvered pipe design, which accelerates the exhaust flow through the muffler. The louvers also give you a deep performance sound without the use of fiberglass that eventually blows out. The Flo-Pro mufflers are also designed to boost the horsepower generated from your vehicle.
