My 850 keeps dying :(
Ugggh, only starts when gas pedal pressed to floor and keeping idle above 2800 rpm, checked cam and crank sensors, coil, fuel pump regulator and I took pump cover to verify I can hear it running. Stalls out when idle drops below 2800,also won't start unless pedal is pressed to floor. I've gone thru 1/2 tank of gas before I had this problem. So I'm not thinking it's crappy gas.
No cel, mainly due to me disconnecting battery. The last cel was I believe pO172 if I remember right, I may be wrong tho. After looking it up I replaced o2 sensor, that was two weeks ago, after clearing cel it threw same code. I'm not positive it was 172 tho. It dosent stay running long enough to give another code yet.
Well so far I found the plug from a nipple by the waste gate where the PVC plugs into gone, I taped that up, also got a hose from a "t" fitting in front of battery compartment that has two hoses off? Haven't a clue where they go, I've checked every where and there not on the vacuum diagram that's under the hood. I may need to take battery compartment out to see if they go somewhere under there, any ideas? There small hoses, od is about 1/8th
Compression test, cold engine obviously lol, 1-5 165 182 175 165 170, that's by the third stroke, each start around 120 first stroke, 160 on 2nd then bottoms out to the numbers above on third.
Gotta be spark,, I unhook ht from cap and fix it close to shock tower bolt to check for spark, I get nothing, I have another coil I checked and no spark there, am I not doing this right shouldn't there be a spark from coil to bolt?
I unhooked the ignition coil plug, when I look in it it only has 3 prongs, there's places for 4, the coil itself that originally came off it, the prong that's missing, the male end is clean, like there never was 4 female ends to it, can't find any info on this one, can someone confirm there's only 3 or should there be 4. Hi wits end, nice to see ya
No, most power is directed to necessary items for the car to start, not powering stuff like radio, instruments, fans, etc.
