Ok the good if you have not already noticed it is a manual transmission car.
It will get swapped into my R.

The bad it needs a motor. Had a head job about 2 years ago and now has almost no compression. SO hoping after converting it to an Auto finding a motor and making it a family car and daughter gets her limited permit in October and it will be a great car for her to learn to drive on.

I paid $400.00 for it. Right now it barely runs. Not sure about the hitch yet need to see how things work out I might need it myself.

TIPSP what do you mean by LSD?

I would love to but have to shell out $300.00 for a new clutch kit so I will have to hold off for now. I may be able to get one with a discount through the shop. I will have to see.

Can't wait to see the purple running the streets! Though I have only seen your wifes car drive by me and I haven't seen the yellow flash by me unless it's pulling up to the house!

LOL I will be putting the turbo or my R rims on the car. The rim from the car is good but needs a tire. I have the 2 sets of rims with tires already.

That is the same color as my first 850 only mine was a sedan with the charcoal interior. I liked that combination quite a bit. Looked really sharp when it was clean, but almost as bad as black for keeping it clean. So you are turning the T5R into a five speed? Cool

I will probably be needing a hitch for my V70 shortly. If anybody knows where I can find one. Probably going to buy a small boat to take the Grandkids out on.

Default swappin trans

So how big of a deal will this trans swap be? I have looking and looking for a 5speed 850, and they are hard to come by. Is the trans in the NA, and GLT the same as an R 5-speed?

Should all be the M56 trnas. just get a clutch kit to handle the turbo.

The tranny's should be the same. The swap it time consuming but well worth it in the end if you ask me.

Tech, please make a step-by-step write up if you can- I think the auto to manual swap would be quite useful to many 850 owners!

If any of you need a hitch, I have a hidden hitch on my car that my brother and I are DYING to get rid of.

We have tried to remove it but the nuts are really rusted on there good.

If anyone can offer suggestions of how to remove it, they can have it for a cheap cheap price +shipping.

PM me in case I forget to recheck this thread.
