Default my volvo is posessed

so a while back, my fuse #15 popped. removed the door chime fuse when this happened because it kept going off even when the door was closed.

anywho, fast forward ahead to now. about a month ago, my security system light started flashing like it was armed. a few weeks later, my hazards started randomly going off. mind you, if i turn the car on all of it stops. the horn doesnt go off and it doesnt lock the car.

wtfh could be causing this? how can i completely disable / remove the stock alarm system?

im fixing to sell my 850 because i want a 240 brick and id love to get this issue solved.

Or get a replacement relay so the system works. Might make a difference to a buyer if it's working or just jumped.

for the price im going to be asking, they can deal with it if its jumped. of course, im not the type to hide stuff from a buyer, mainly cuz i dont want a pissed off buyer calling me all hours of the night about some undisclosed problem and demanding a refund.

that being said...

what do i need to jumper on the part where the relay connects? will this prevent the hazards and security dot on the dash from coming back on?

Remove relay 210 / 211 which is located in the lower central electrical unit. The lower central electrical unit is mounted high on the firewall, inside of the car, directly below the fuse box. You will need to remove the lower dash panel to get to it.

Once the relay is removed look at the 210 side of the relay and identify pins 50E and 50F. Those are the pins that need to be jumpered to allow the car to crank again.

Volvo actually sells a dummy 210 relay with the jumper wire installed in it but I don't know what the part number is and how available it is.
