Default Need Cluster/Odometer removal tips

I have a 1996 850 Glt with a dead odometer. I did a search a found the info on the gears that break and where to get new ones. I have removed other clusters and done white guage kits on other cars but it looks like this dash is really put together well. I'm used to American cars that have phillips screw heads showing everywhere. Ant tips on removal that will help me from breaking things will be appreciated.

take out all the a/c vents, look up inside the vents. they should be either torx or phillips. be carefull too those dashes are pretty fragile.

You also need to remove the glove box and air bag screws and plug.
That is unless you are going to cheat. Which might brake a peice of the dash as well.
You will also have to remove the plastic cover on the end of the dash.First remove the little round cover. Then the t-25 screw and remove the cover. Then there is a screw going into the dash straight in.Then also remove the speaker cover and speaker.
If you removed all the screws up to the passenger side then you can lift up on the dash on the drivers side and sneak in and unlatch it and unplug it and slide it out.

Also if your car is turbo and has a guage then you will have to remove the vaccum line on the left side on the back of the cluster.
