No Heat, just replaced blower motor
So, living in the northeast, we've been getting hit with some snow and freezing temperatures and I'm now without heat.
For months now, the fan in my car will only blow out air at the highest setting, which from scanning through this board looks to be an issue with the blower motor resistor. Aside from that, I've also had issues with the fan making a loud noise while it runs.
Well, the other morning, about five minutes into my drive, it started to sound much louder than normal, and finally, it made one last whimper, and died. The fan doesnt work on any setting and I'm getting no heat.
After viewing rspi's video, I decided to replace the blower motor. I put the new motor in, plugged it in, and...nothing...no hum, nothing.
Has anybody had this problem? What was the solution? I understand it can be a couple of different things, but at this point, aside from bringing it to the local volvo shop and getting charged an arm and a leg, I'm willing to try anything.
