check the battery voltage. if that is 11.5 volts or higher you *should* be ok there.

does it crank?

also if your battery voltage is good... try disconnecting and reconnecting your crank sensor located at the top of the transmission where it bolts to the engine.... no spark means no crank sensor; no injector pulse no cam sensor

Check the voltage going into the coil. Should be 11.5 volts or higher. If no voltage, you probably have a broken wire or bad fuse. If voltage going in to the coil is good, I would suspect a bad coil. Good luck

Thanks a mill, I will check the crank sensor. I've changed the old camshafts for another pair...the problem?. They were about the same wear. I have changed all of my relays and will install a new battery. thanks, can't wait to drive it, been waiting for a while now.

I'll do this Saturday

You changed the cams in the motor?
If so why?

Default Cams

my dumb/smart idea was to replace a pair of good cams with new o-rings since the original ones seemed to have the damn bolts welded to the cam...the wear seemed about the same(no micrometer test).

here I am with a bunch of extra relays (junk yard) one cam sensor that came off a T5 that does not fit mine because of the hull being too long?

Did you have either the cam sensor wheel or the Dist wheel off then reinstall it?

If so are you sure they are the right way?

They should only fit one way but they can fit both ways if you collapse the tabs when tightening them down.

Default Cams

I don't know exactly what you mean but...I made marks on my original ones then grabbed the new ones and held them on top of the corresponding cam and made a mark on the new ones... I parked the car took off valve cover, etc...I even took a freaking picture for reference...

I am kind of desperate now...

Default Cam

ah...yeah...I get your question now...I was thinking cams only not cam sensor...yes they only fit one way...but it seems that I had to push the T5 cam sensor too much so I stopped...the original cam sensor has a short lip, or face, the other even had a plastic cover on the outside... and the lip was like an inch deep as if it were to touch the rear o-ring...

Are you sure? I mean the metal plates held on with the single 10mm screw.

If you remove the parts you can see if the tabs are folded over. If they are wrong then that might be the problem.

Default Cam sensor

I used an OBD II and worked.
I got
P0326
P0400 and 420 ? It read knock sensor malfunction or absent.
I also got a shorted out part that I wrote down but don't have it handy right now.
check out the depth of the junk yard cam sensor that it did not fit.

the part that goes inside, or lip I guess, it is too long. my original is half the length of this one

The part on the motor that goes into the sensor is what I was asking if you removed it.
That might be on wrong causing the issue. If the sensor came off a 850 it should work. The one without the black cover is an updated one.

Pull it again and see if the metal tabs are folded over.
