I am trying to figure out what to call this device and have not found reference to it. Under the relay carrier above the radiator fan there is what looks like a little pump with hoses attached to it on the drivers end. On my car this has started making noise so I need to know what it is and to see if I should be replacing it. It looks like a little pump.
Can anyone help on this?

 

Chances are, its the purge valve.
