O2 Sensor spacing + mpg issue
Well i removed the cat, and I have been told that with the cat removed you can space the rear o2 so the light wont come on.. how so..? I also got 2 universal bosch o2s, that ive been wanting to put on as well, my fuel mileage is pretty crappy for having fresh ignition parts. new wires, cap rotor and iridium plugs. im only averaging 18mpg.
On the O2 sensor spacer; assume this is what you're talking about:

Have you checked your compression lately? Also a lead right foot can kill your mpg too...
I used two spark plug de-foulers as a spacer for my OBX DP. It was 4 dollars at autozone and works perfectly. It will come with 2 de-foulers, you will need to drill one out with a 5/16th bit and leave the other just the way it is. Screw them in and you will be good to go.
The spacer takes the O2 sensor out of the way of the moving exhaust. You need to do this because when the cat is there, it slows down the air some, causing the O2 sensor to stay at a specific temperature. When you run without a cat, the O2 sensor cannot stay as hot and cause a code.

Compression is good, the evap line kept coming unplugged and my brake booster vacuum line was leaking fixed those and it runs way better now, still need to get the spacer though it hasnt thrown a code in a while for that..
