Default OBD Codes

Are the OBD codes the same for a 1994 850 non turbo as they are for a 1995 850 non turbo? I have a list for the 1995 but am unable to locate codes for my 1994. Also, the lead on the code reader is a bit frayed, can this be replaced or spliced? There is not much of the lead sticking out but it is still functioning. Thanks for your forum and your help..

Yes the codes should be the same.

The repair would be at your own risk. You should be able to cut out the frayed part and shorten it or even splice in some extra if you need more length. Just make sure you follow the color codes of the wires. The wires they use are really small. Similar to the phone wiring of old.
