Default Odometer stepping, not rolling

Just wondering if anyone has the same issue after replacing the gear for the odometer. It would move like the second hand on a clock. It wouldn't move smoothly for some reason.

Have seen that before but never really figured out why.

Mine does that. I thought it was because it was about to go out. Maybe it has been replaced. Maybe I need to check my OBD-I connection to see if the actual milage in the computer is different???

Mine works the same way in my R. It's only got 88K, so I figured that was just how the odo worked in these cars.
