Thanks for all the replies guys, I went with "showroom new" the black dye, but I am not very satisfied with its outcome. It made the bumpers look dark grey not black, and it does not apply well to the side trim and mirrors, I am thinking that I would have been better off with kiwi shoe polish, would have been a lot cheaper as well.

First application of showroom new grey. Worked well so far but please wear clothes you don't care about while you do it. Only take a wee speck of the stuff to ruin something

It's a thread about dying a bumper. I chose grey because black would look bad in my opinion. I think Volvo knew more about color design than me when choosing grey for my green wagon. I put up a pic to show a side by side of what grey looks like. Grey is part of the topic by the way. It might be useful to see instead of relying on some guy shooting his mouth off. That's my opinion. Showroom grey is still being sold with happy customers so we can't all be wrong.

I applied with an old wash cloth about 5 months ago and still looks perfect.

I used a soft cloth that I could apply some pressure to.

As soon as Forever Car Care Products make a Forever Grey, I'll give it a try but since my car came with grey upper bumpers, I will stick with Showroom New.

Both products are the same and do the same thing. They dye porous plastic. They both can be applied incorrectly and both can streak if applied incorrectly.

Like I said, If I had a faded black bumper or if Forever made a grey version. I would use it and be just as confident in it. What worries me is, why would someone have such a hard-on for one product over the other and bust peoples ***** about not using the product that they think is best even though that company doesn't make a grey version? They are both just dyes.

Also, I am not one of those brand loyal idiots so I don't get this type of argument.
