I have a 1996 850 with about 180k on it and I'm determined to keep it running. I still take it on the road 1-2 times a year for 1,300 miles or so, and it runs great. But my odometer doesn't work, and the AC doesn't work. Can anyone tell me if a) the instrument cluster from a 1996 Volvo 850 Turbo can be installed in my 850? Or failing that, can the instrument cluster from a 1995 850 be installed in mine? And the AC condensor from either? I've looked at a couple of parts sites and it is unclear to a civilian. If so I've found a salvage yard with 2-3 Volvos, and my mechanic can do the work. But they can't answer my questions. I would appreciate any help.

 

Welcome to the forum. You should be able to swap both parts without an issue.
