Don't worry about Rspi. He's got plenty of boost on both his Rs. It's us the commoners that scurry around. Heck, Turbo is an utopia for my I-6.

No my oil is pristine. I use mobil 1 synthetic 15w50 since last july and every oil change thereafter.

rspi has gotten used to his beasts so it's understandable that he only needs no more than 2500rpms to scoot along. haha

So I went to the parts store only to find out that they're gauge is $25 and the only return option is an exchange...i'll shop around for that.

In the meanwhile, the car is jubilant all day so I hope it worked itself out, i'll get the gauge regardless.

I had a power loss under full throttle scenario that happened (in 1st gear, 2nd gear sometimes) soon after I did this so I put the hoses back together, but the problem persisted.

I've changed to a new bcs from ipd,
evap canister purge valve (which had a cel),
bosch fuel filter,
bosch cap/rotor,
bougicord wires,
oem volvo plugs gapped at .028, better when they were incorrectly gapped to .025.
new crank sensor,
ONLY 93 octane from "top tier" companies
MSD coil from ipd (I FEEL THIS CURED THE COMPLETE POWER LOSS)
I threw in injector cleaner a long time ago.

I feel it is a fuel issue so a new fpr is what i'll do next, knock sensor upgrade kit costs ~$300 (same $ as the oem ones from the stealer) might as well upgrade.
Idle is a steady 900rpm.

My car does fine in 1st (full boost @ 30-50mph tires smoking), sporadic sputter in 2nd, 3rd (80-117mph) fine, 4th(118-156mph) it's fine. I only have the issue in 2nd b/w 5,000-6,000rpm (60-75mph)..

Hey thanks for the update Vmax.

Sucks it took all those parts and you still have an issue.
