permatex copper spray
hey guys quick question.l am planning on helping a friend work on his s70. he is planning on using permatex gasket maker.l want to ask if it is a good idea to use permatex copper spray together with the gasket maker?how does that work.any input will be much appreciated.thanks
he has a lifter problem like l did. l am helping him change his lifters and oil pan seals.but he doesnt want to spend alot getting volvo sealant.we are putting the sealant on the cam cover, and oil pan.
I don't think that will work. It is suppose to work with gaskets like the one that goes between the head and block but not the cam cover.
He can get Permatec Anerobic Sealant for $12 at NAPA. I used it on my head job.

If you get the small foam rollers from Wal-mart they come in a little clear pan. I didn't realize that and purchased a seperate pan for $2 or something like that. One tube can do 2 covers. You should put it on pretty thin.
