Default Piping Question, BOV question

96 volvo 850 turbo, stock.
mechanic said that he could definetly install a blow-off valve. wondering what size the tubing is, 2.5 or 3. Thinking about turbo xs type s, anyone know a decent BOV, not loud, and not too quiet. Greddy, turbo XS, any other universals that are higly suggested and for a reasonable price???? I dont have any race car, dont want it to sound like one!

Get a HKS SSQV.

Where do you plan on attaching it?

I was thinking of attaching it in either of those places, not sure if possible attaching it on plastic piping closer to the front if i bought the "adapter piping"+ flange. Have sets on ebay. Or should i just add it on like either pictures that were given?? I was planning on the HKS ssqv actually!! is there any position that is best???

You cannot attach it to anything plastic.

You can cut your rubber Upper Elbow IC hose and insert a T-adapter and clamp it on each side then but the BOV on top. Not recommended IMO.

i have got the SSQV now, and i am planning to attach it by welding on to the same place as the v70 shown above. From what i understand, the bypass valve is removed and a blanking plate is put on. By doing this, is it a bad thing?? will i lose boost or gain turbo lag??

Can't you buy a hose w/ a little niplle on it that hooks right up to the BOV?

It's a Samco hose..
