power drain
I have a 95 850 glt I have been having problems with a constant drain on my battery I have not done any thing electrical to the car i have owned it for about a year the man I bout it from put another stock radio with cd cassette and am/fm only the am radio and tape deck works I also noticed that there is a stock cd changer in the trunk with no cartridge in it . I am not sure if these items could be the problems . I also have the stock fog lamp switch but no foglamps up front . The switch on the ceiling between the front lights is missing so my overhead lights do not work . I have read that there are some possibilities on the positave battery cable causing problems like this one ,but Im not sure excactly what to look for .. if any one has any suggestions they would be greatly appriciated . I love my car but it needs a few expeneive repairs but I dont want to put the money in it if I cant get my electric problem fixed thanks

RE: power drain
2 things to do to start. With a digital meter read Voltage at the battery with the car running.
Then read the positive from the big wire on the back of the Alt. See how much of a difference there is.
Also make sure you have a digital meter that reads Amps. Then put the meter inline between the battery and the negative cable. See how many Amps it is pulling.
