There may be another part of the forum for this but I thought I would start here. I have a deep scratch that I am going to fix this weekend and just found out my cleaner for getting all the wax etc off around the repair is all dried up. Does any one know what I can use that won't hurt the surrounding clear coat?

 

WD-40.

Seriously. I don't have any in front of me at the moment, but I'm pretty sure it says right on the can that it removes bugs, tar, grease, etc.

 

3M makes some products for that.

 

I can think of a lot of places I could use that, at work and at home.
