Do you mean the plug to the MAF sensor?

If so, plug it back in and reset the computer. Then, go tell Dad what you had just done.

you are kidding about the confession right? cuz i am really wanting to do some stuff to this car . . . I am 18 and go to the community college. their is no escape in a small town . . . yeah , i just cleared the codes and drove around for a while. it all seems to be the same. still have to get the radiator replaced and need to fix that engine mount but hey, nothing seems different.

Man you ruin all the Fun. As long as you can fix what you break there is no need for the confession.

What's there to confess? You pulled the plug that caused the CEL to come on. You got on a message board and found out how to reset the code and did it. There was no harm done. What would your Dad be ticked about? I would just say "Sounds like a good website".

next question . . . My car is beautiful to me but it is somewhat uglyish on the outside. namely the front and rear bumpers. the old owner always did very bd wax jobs so i am trying to clear up that fiasco, but he also didn't take very good care ofthe bumper near the tail pipe so it kind of looks like this:

what would you suggest to make it look better and not like it was just chewed up andspit out?

thank you

First off it looks like it has the wrong tip on the exhaust.
Or it is missing.

Next you might want to cut that area out and try to hide with a bigger tip.

Second try having the car Buffed with rubbing compound.

thanks! I'll try that. also, will putting a new tip on make it sound any louder? just wondering. I really don't want to have to put a cone filter on it to make it sound louder if i don't have to. and getting a K&N panel filter is a good way to go (acceleration and gas mileage)?

alos one more question is this easy to fix:

i heard i can simply buy a polyurethane bushing and install that instead. (i am talking about the rear motor mount not the throttle control)

There is a metal shell that the rubber bushing is attached to. It needs to be pressed or cut out.

This one is best because it is solid; it will bring in more engine vibration into the cabin:

Polyurethane is second best.

You will not notice much of a difference with a K&N filter. The OEM filters out dust the best.

A non-resonator tip should not change the sound of the exhaust. Please, don't ruin the car with a fart can.
