Default Problems with fuel pump...

Hello, for the past month I have been having problems with my fuel pump. I'll drive my 94 850 Turbo and it will run fine then sometimes (every week or so) it won't start when I try later to start it. Then when I take take the plate off the fuel pump and unscrew the fastener of the fuel pump and lift it or giggle it and put it back it will work again. Has anyone else experienced this? How did you fix it?

find out exactly what is happening exactly and repair it. By the sounds of wigling it it is most likely a electrical proplem bad connection or motor brushes or something.

you can just oughtright replacement, and by experiences of people on this bord with experience chuck out the extra coin for an OEM fuel pump, it woill save you some greif.

I recommend avoiding the cheaper 3rd party fuel pumps, I went through two because I thought they were broken... turns out they were only pushing out 20 psi, when my car needed 41 psi. From the mechanics I talked to, official Volvo fuel pumps are the way to go. The quality is worth the extra bucks.
