Hello Everyone. I had a friend put a new purge valve on my Volvo 850 GLT. I didn't notice if there was a hose on the end towards the cannister. Is there supposed to be?

are you asking about the two hoses to the purge valve (one goes to the vacuum tree, the other to the evap system) or the hose that runs all the way to the cannister? Its supposed to be a sealed system so if there are tears in that long hose it needs to be replaced. A smoke test may be in order to see if the system is closed.
