Default question about ptc

im currently doing a pcv service and i've decided to clean my ptc. my question is, there is two nipples. one large nipple that runs to the pcv and the other small one runs through the valve cover to the throttle body right? well the smaller one is restricted to the point where i cant clean it out with even a paper clip. and i just got to thinking, maybe it isn't supposed to be clear through there and that restriction is how it is made. please let me know your opinion as soon as possible, as i need my car back! thank you in advance.

That is a vacuum port... it need to be clear... you are going to need to soak it to start breaking that stuff up

Btw where in florida are you?

You need to soak it and very carefully use a drill bit by HAND. Use a really small one and work your way up. You still want to soak it so hopefully you're softening and cutting the crud out and not the plastic. You can use a small vice grip on the shaft to get a better grip on the bit.

Tim, that small port routs back to the pass side of the intake manifold, just behing the power steering pump and timing blet cover.

Also, if you have EGR, take that off the intake and clean that real good. I actually pulled my intake totally off and cleaned the EGR port and EGR. It was a mess.
