REAL Milage??

Is there an easy way to get the REAL milage on a '97 850, or do I have to pay the dealer to do it?

The thread on this matter only worked for models prior to 95, as I understood.

Not sure if there is any possibility to recover mileage on 96/97 cars.

dealer said they could use their diagnostic tool; however, they want to charge me $100 to do it......

According to this, and other, threads looks like you're stuck with the dealer. Guess you could shop other dealers...

two years ago I asked same question at Powell Volvo- biggest volvo dealer in AZ and they didn't know how

I figured out how to with my newly acquired '97 850.

Not sure which ECU I have yet I need to open up the box and check.
