Default Really Weird Noise on 850 T5R

I haven't been on here much lately and now almost feel guilty about coming on to ask a question.

But got a really weird noise on the yellow car this morning. When I decelerate I get a kind of growling thumping vibrating noise. When I step on the gas it runs perfectly smooth and shifts just fine, but soon as a let off the gas it makes this noise. When I step on the brakes it seems to get louder, but I don’t really feel anything in the brake pedal. The noise keeps up right up until I come to a stop and I do feel some vibration in the car. The faster I am going the louder the noise. Does not feel like it’s in the engine, but really not sure what it is. Had to turn around on the way to work because I was afraid to get on the highway with it.

Wheel Bearing? Where is the noise coming from?

I have the same problem with my 94 turbo auto but it's worse when the car is cold

I can't really tell where it's coming from. I know I hear it much more with the windows closed that with them open. Fairly certain it's coming from the front, but then again where else could it be coming from.

Engine mounts? When the front (some calls right) mount gone bad, it will cause noise/vibration so as the top one.

Loose lug nuts on the left front wheel. I'm going to ring the guys neck who rotated my tires last weekend. Hold on while I wrap my hands around my neck. One of the bolts was almost out and the others were pretty darn loose. At least it was a cheap easy fix. Sure glad I came home and didn't get on the highway!

Damn! Honestly, if you got it somewhere reasonable you might be able to get some money! I got my tires from discount tire and I let them do all the tire stuff, if I found my tire like that I'd go back and demand something!

Man that sucks. A guy put one of my tires on rotating the wrong direction and my car was pulling all over the road. When you have tight suspension you notice a lot of things.

Good to hear from you Jim.

Now that football season is over for me, I will probably be back on this board more often again.
