As I've never been satisfied with 'University Volvo' service I'm looking for an independent shop in the Charlotte, NC area to do a valve job on my '97 850 GLT. I'd appreciate any recommendations for a shop. I'd also like to know why you chose to recommend the shop.

I prefer Volvo of Charlotte on Independence as a dealer.

I have taken my car to Tom at Midtown Imports on South Tryon. He is knowledgable and fair priced.

Otherwise, I do most of the work myself on my 1996 850 turbowagon.
