I think so to!!!
Happy somewhat happy with the way they came out but have to wait to see if they get scratched when they get mounted. I am not doing it.

But going to let them harden for a couple of days then have them mounted and put them on the car.

Here is a few pics of them on the car. She was only able to get 2 mounted this week so the pics are from test fitting them.

Tech, your T5-R looks sharp with just about any type of rims. The next project is to mount a rear spoiler. Remember, the addition of rear spoiler contributes toyour wife & kids'safety, by creating a down-force to keep it stable on the road. If you can recall the suggested scenario.....

EDIT: Sorry, I just noticed the trunk lid was up and noticed the spoiler was already there. But you need one for the white one as well.

Just goes to show how much a Camera can make things look out of place.

The rims are on the white car now.
The trunk is open on my car in the backround.
But yes she does need a spoiler on hers. And the rims will be fitted on her car.

You need to get an R spoiler for the white car. I really like the turned up end with the grey tip. I would actually like to find one for the T5R.

I just spent the better part of the day washing my three cars and then waxing the yellow one. I swear that yellow oxidizes faster than any color I have ever seen. And I have had several different shades of red cars and thought nothing could be worse. After washing the yellow car it looks all blotchy and some areas look lighter than other areas. A few hours of elbow grease and some Maquires Cleaner/Wax and it looks great though. I think it's been about four months since I washed the cars. They were feeling neglected.

I always do the red one first, cause if I don't it won't get done. I spend more time on the other two, but way more time on the yellow one today. I have to get a coat of wax on the other two pretty soon though.

Well done, sharp, and now is the time for, of course, Suggested Scenario.

Tech: Wife, I highly suggest that you.....

Wife: Tech, I want a rear spoiler on my 850, because it'll make the car look cool, as well as giving it an added safety with increased down-force and improved stability & handling. I highly suggest that you start saving up for my next birthday.

Tech:.......(speechless).

This time it didn't take much long to convince.

Tech, show her the pictures of my sons 850 pre spoiler and post spoiler. She will be so shamed by the naked look of the trunk of her car that she will fall to her knees begging you to purchase the first available spoiler for installation.

I have one in the Garage I need to get painted but she kind of likes the sleeper look over the spoiler look.
But Now I am looking for a 1996 or 1997R rear spoiler for my car. When I get it painted yellow I will have one painted for her car as well.

Erie Volvo has two 850 R spoilers for $150 each. Tell them that Jim sent you.

I might just do that. I might also have a source for one for $50.00 cheaper waiting to hear back.

I am learning allot from this group. So, please tell me what is the deal with those rims? I mean, what are they, what did they come on originally, etc.

I am looking for a cool set of 16" rims for my 96 850 T wagon. Suggestions!!!

I think they are called "Persus" but not 100% sure. They came off a 850 Platinum.

Persus they are! They came with my Platinum.

It is amazing how much the car changes depending on the time of day. During the day the car looks very white but at night it comes alive.

What did you do with the Columba wheels? I bought my son a set of Cetus wheels to replace his steel wheels and pie plate hub caps.Every morning he drools all over the Columbas that I have on the 1994.

I can usually bring him back to earth by telling him that he will need 16" tires instead of the brand new 15"tires that he has with the Cetus wheels but it is getting tougher.
