Just an update on these... I sanded mine down 2 years (see above photos and date)... and to this day it still looks exactly like it did when I put them back on (all sanded down).

This has been a great fix with zero maintenance afterwards.

 

We've got to do something with my sons 850. His are starting to crack. I guess I'll leave it up to him, remove and polish, remove and paint with bumper paint, or remove and paint gloss black (his car is black).

 

Or... another option for you...

I've got a set I just pulled from an 850... they are in great shape, no cracking, no peeling, no rubber damage...
