You would probably make about the same, if not a little bit more parting it out, just a thought.

PE and turbo ecu are all the same.

850 GLT, not T5 GLT. haha, they beez wrong. GLT's didn't have a turbo until 1997, so up to 97 the ECU compared to any turbo model will obviously be different. Otherwise, the 97 GLT ecu is different than the T5 ECU, less boost, different injectors I think.

Well, it sounds like S_Moneh is not in the USA. Many overseas models are ahead of ours, they may have had a '96 T5 GLT. Just thinking.

Has the car been repaired? Something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If it can be driven daily put it up for sale, ask a price you can afford to take, and take the first serious offer.

well ok lets put it this way

which model is better? 850 t5 or 850 t5 glt?? AND how can i tell which i have??

then yea i've put it up for sale, i am still driving it and everything it runs, however i have to do safety test on it and it would probably fail becuase everybad is swapped into that one, so i'm not sure if any1 is willing to drive it but i'll have to wait and see

I'm like 99.9% sure there is no T5 GLT, I've seen plenty of pictures of overseas cars and what not on VS and have never heard of or seen a T5 GLT, it's one or the other. There both fine models, the only difference is that until 97 the GLT did not have a turbo. In 97 when it got the turbo it was a 13G, smaller than the T5's 15G. That's about it. And different wheels.

All platinum 850s were Turbo/T5.

Where are you located, just to make this easier? Your reading KM, I'm guessing Canada.
